Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)
The R.C.I.A. program is intended for adults who are interested in joining the Holy Catholic Church.
Adults who are un-baptized (catechumens), or who were baptized in another Christian community (candidates), qualify for the R.C.I.A. process. Participants in the R.C.I.A. program meet on Wednesdays from mid-September to Easter from 5:30-7:30 pm in the Gallagher Center at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. During each session the candidates and catechumens are instructed in the Traditions of the Catholic Faith. Through intellectual inquiry, communal prayer, and discussion, those who seek entrance into the Holy Catholic Church will learn how to live the Catholic Faith.
Please check the Religious Education section of your weekly bulletin for specific dates and news.
If you or someone you know are interested in joining the Holy Catholic Church please call the parish office at 330-453-8493 or email stpetersoffice@youngstowndiocese.org.
